What is a Dual FBC DVB-S2 satellite tuner?

A Dual FBC DVB-S2 tuner has 8 so-called demodulators. This is comparable to a receiver with 8 single DVB-S2 satellite tuners. This FBC technology is therefore a unique 8-tuners-in-1 technique. This makes it possible to watch, stream and/or record up to 8 channels simultaneously, on different transponders.

With a Twin LNB, with 2 outputs, it is possible with the FBC technique to process 2 separate signals. Through the unique FBC technique, the 2 separated signals are "looped through" to 6 additional internal tuners, working in loop-through mode. This makes it possible to watch, stream and/or record TV channels from 8 different transponders from 2 different satellites (e.g. Astra 1 and Astra 3 satellite) simultaneously.

Unicable in combination with FBC

In SCR (Unicable) mode, the VU+ Uno 4K's 8 frequencies are equivalent to 8 standard tuners. This makes full use of the 8 tuners FBC technique.

Note: The Dual FCB DVB-S2 tuner only works optimally in combination with a Unicable LNB; without Unicable LNB it is a 'normal' Dual DVB-S2 satellite tuner!

What is an FBC DVB-C cable tuner?

An FBC DVB-C cable tuner has 8 so-called demodulators, which is equivalent to a receiver with 8 single DVB-C cable tuners. This FBC technology is therefore a unique 8-tuners-in-1 technique. This makes it possible to simultaneously watch up to 8 channels, stream and/or record.

With 1 coax CAI connection, it is possible with this FBC DVB-C cable tuner to achieve the same result as with 8 separate, standard DVB-C cable receivers.
